Head Field Hockey/Lacrosse Coach/Assistant Athletic Director: 

Crest College, a private women's college located in Allentown, PA, is seeking a dynamic individual to be the head coach of both its field hockey and lacrosse teams. This position reports to the Director of Athletics and is part of the college's administrative staff.  Specific areas of responsibility will include student-athlete recruitment, training, conditioning, skill development, and game preparation for both sports. Ensuring adherence to the policies of Cedar Crest College, the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) and the NCAA will be an ongoing essential. Other administrative duties will be assigned in the area of recreation and intramurals.   This is a full-time, ten-month position. 

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of successful coaching or playing experience, preferably at the college level. A high level of self-motivation and excellent interpersonal skills are imperative.

Specific areas of responsibility will include student-athlete recruitment; training, conditioning and skill development for both the traditional and non-traditional seasons; game preparation; and cultivating relationships with faculty, staff, alumnae and other constituencies. College of Notre Dame of Maryland

Sports Information Director

College of Notre Dame of Maryland, a member of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), located on Baltimore’s historic college corridor and just fifteen minutes from the downtown Inner Harbor area, invites applications for the position of Sports Information Director. The first Catholic college for women to grant the four-year baccalaureate degree, College of Notre Dame of Maryland educates 500 women in the traditional undergraduate program and 2,500 in the Accelerated/Weekend College and Graduate Studies programs which serves women and men.

 

The Sports Information Director oversees media relations efforts for the athletics department, manages the College’s new athletics website (to be launched in August, 2010), and will be in charge of event management including compilation of all game/event statistics.

 

 

The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, and at least two years of experience working in a college sports information office. Candidates should have strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Extensive experience with electronic dissemination of information and Webpage development is required. In addition, the candidate must be proficient in StatCrew software for all varsity sports sponsored by College of Notre Dame, and must be familiar with Division III rules and regulations, and the Division III philosophy for intercollegiate athletics.
